Lighting for Film: The Complete Beginner's Guide

This lighting class is based on what I find to be the most important lessons I’ve learned about cinematic lighting throughout my formative years at NYU Tisch and close to a decade of experience working as a cinematographer.

It offers a very straightforward and applicable way to think about lighting. These concepts are illustrated with diagrams, in camera footage and BTS footage showing how to achieve these results.

This video isn’t only geared towards cinematographers, gaffers and key grips. I truly believe that directors would also highly benefit from this knowledge in order to translate their creative vision to their team more precisely.
